Jan Daniel Fritz is an artistically trained media practitioner with many years of experience in film production, installation, curatorial work, as well as corporate management, marketing, and sales strategies, including in a cultural context.
Growing up in a family of artists—his mother was a graphic designer and his father was the visual artist Kunibert Fritz—he develops a keen understanding of form, structure, and visual space at an early age. In addition to his own artistic practice, he manages his father's artistic estate and deepens his expertise through further training in art estate management at the Berlin University of the Arts.
His work includes painting, art installations, short film and video projects, and interactive feedback installations (1990s–early 2000s).
His current work focuses on systemic, time-based, and perception-related issues at the intersection of visual communication, technology, and artistic research. In his exploration of constructive-concrete art, he develops dynamic, audiovisual glyph systems as experimental forms of visual language—between geometric abstraction, process art, and consciousness-related interface research.
