unity in duality

The light installation by artist Jan Daniel Fritz, entitled "unity in duality", was created as part of the exhibition "life & death - death & life" in a church in 2024. This work of art is a homage to his father Kunibert Fritz († Oct. 2023). In this picture, the division of the square figure is reminiscent of a Tangram tile and forms the micro-element, so to speak, from which a fractal structure develops. This structure becomes a larger sign that follows a regularity. The picture does not end at the edge, but transcends its boundaries. It embodies a process that can also be understood as an idea. This is a central aspect of abstract constructive concrete art.
